Combing through the trash cans outside of the 20th Century Fox lot I discovered the super-secret plotline for the first two episodes of the 12 hour reboot of FOX's 24 - 'Live Another Day' coming on June 1, 2014.
It goes like this: Jack Bauer, Cloe O'Brian and Audrey Raines have been working too hard at CTU, in the office pool they win a trip to London where they tour London Bridge, the Towers, and walk lazily along the Thames. (Scenes necessary for the tax breaks and incentives given by the Brits to shoot in London.)
On their way to the British Museum an AH-1 Cobra lands on the front lawn, Secretary Heller and his strike force assemble Jack and friends, spiriting them to a secret location where they learn of an international fugitive hacker who has taken down healthcare.gov in order to disrupt the American insurance industry. Just as they begin to uncover a massive conspiracy in the government, Centox gas is released in the building.
Unbeknownst to them there's a mole in CTU who's feeding information to corrupt President of the United States Keith Palmer, son of David & Sherri Palmer. Will Cloe be able to repair the web site before an administration is brought to its knees?
